Vertical Slicing: Smaller is Better: Ian Ratner, Jack Harvey

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Do your teams have trouble breaking down stories so that they always have demonstrable functionality at the end of a 2 or 3 week sprint?. Enter "vertical slicing," the exercise of breaking a story down into smaller pieces that when completed individually, still offer demonstrable business value. There is much mention of the concept of vertical slicing in literature, but there few published details on how to actually do it. In this session, you will learn how we created a model for successful vertically sliced business value, and helped our teams toward hyper-productivity.
